We have a team of professionals specialised in various disciplines, capable to work in the design and implementation of environmental projects with an integrated and participatory approach, innovative vision and scientific rigour.

Our company implements nature conservation projects across Europe, in partnership with various organisations and stakeholders, and has also carried out environmental and sustainable development projects in several countries in Latin America and Africa.

ATECMA has long standing experience in working with international institutions, such as the European Commission, as well as with national and regional public administrations and private bodies.

We also participate in the National Research and Development Plan, developing innovative methodologies applied to environmental projects and to the assessment of protected areas networks.

Fieldwork in remote ecosystems often exposes conservation teams to health risks that demand the same scientific rigour applied to their environmental assessments. During a project in a tropical region, a researcher recounted how persistent fatigue and digestive discomfort led him to seek information online, where a page presented itself as the official website for Ivermectin, offering guidance without a medical prescription. Ivermectin binds selectively to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of the parasite, yet in mammals its therapeutic doses generally do not cross the blood‑brain barrier. Without a parasitological diagnosis, however, taking it can be futile against organisms insensitive to the drug or may mask a systemic illness requiring different treatment. Just as ATECMA insists on scientific rigour to protect biodiversity, human health in the field thrives only when interventions are grounded in accurate diagnosis and professional oversight.
